Princess Graduate

I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since my last post! Yowza, life has been a bit chaotic. I have been spending time crafting, just not able to get any finished cards ready to post. Thankfully another AWESOME challenge at One Stop Crafts Challenge kicked me into gear. This week Shelly challenged us to use buttons and bows on our cards. The challenge runs until midnight on Friday so you have lots of time to join in.

Inspiration
One Stop Craft Challenge #133 ~ Buttons and Bows
Copic Creations Challenge #50 ~ Yellows I’m not a big fan of yellow (clashes with my skin tone) so I focused on trying out my hand at blonde/yellow hair. Most of my images end up brunette or auburn as I have yet to really find the perfect ‘blonde’ in my Copics.
Anything Goes: Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #24; Creative Card Crew Challenge; By the Cute and Girly Challenge; 2 Sisters Challenge #41
Top Tip Tuesday Challenge #35 ~ 2 or More Stamps I used the main girl image and pulled a graduation hat off another digi to create her graduation cap.
Little Red Wagon Challenge #82 ~ Use a Number
I used a numbered DP on the base of my card.
Stamping Vacation You Name the Challenge ~ Buttons
Daring Cardmakers Challenge ~ Passion for Fashion
What’s more fashionable than a lovely ball gown?
365 Cards Day 84 ~ Tuesday Prompt: Hat
I used a graduation hat instead of a crown on my princess.
Real Life Inspiration
One of my best friend's youngest daughter graduated from Kindergarten last week. She's such a special little girl in my life, I knew I had to create a princess card for her.

CAS Sympathy

I've been so busy lately I'm WAAAAAY behind on reading my blog updates. I try to keep my 'to read' list current, but it's almost at 1000 now! EEKS! I can't bear to click the 'mark all read' button as I admire and respect each blogger's work and dedication. Another busy weekend is scheduled for me but I will try to get a bit of time in blog land. I've got a quick and easy card to share now. I like how switching up the fold a bit and adding the 'band' element gives a new twist to a standard clean and simple card.

I didn't add the string element, but kept with the basic feel for the other elements.

Beaded Style

Wow, I've been a very bad blogger! Spring has hit MN and it seems when I'm not busy sneezing and wheezing from the spring pollens, I'm running one direction or the other; and unfortunately it's not towards my studio. LOL. I'd better post QUICK before I get pulled away from the computer....or should I say sucked into a game on Facebook. Am I the only one who suddenly finds they've spent over an hour playing one of those '60 second' games? :o)
