Recycled Summer Bonnet

I'm still here! I don't know if it's summer, working 3 jobs, computer snafus, or tending 'da fur herd that's kept me away from blogging; but I've missed it! I've still been crafting and now have a pile of projects to share. I finished my DT projects for One Stop Craft Challenge, but wasn't able to post them here (until now). This project stemmed from their summer flower challenge. One of my SU friends inspired this project. I'm one of those crafters who has to take supplies out of their original packaging and organize them into my own system (which is still CHAOTIC). I hate to throw away the originals, especially if I can do something crafty with them. This would make a cute favor for bridal/baby showers or a girly birthday. It utilizes an empty SU embellishment container; the perfect size for M&Ms or similar candies.

Inspiration
Party Time Tuesday Challenge #76 ~ Let’s Get Punchy
ABC Challenge ~ T is for Two by Two (I used 2 colors, yellow and orange)
By the Cute and Girly July Challenge ~ A Day at the…..Horse Races
I was thinking of the horse race scene from My Fair Lady the whole time I was crafting this!
Charisma Cardz Challenge #27 ~ Recycle
Dutch Dare Challenge #173 ~ Tic Tac Toe (Flowers Pearls Distressing)
365 Cards Day 2 ~ Imagine This: Sunrise Lovely oranges and yellows.
365 Cards Day 92 ~ Wear and Tear
365 Cards Day 129 ~ Fun in the Sun Sunshiney colors and a lovely sunbonnet to keep nose freckles at bay provided inspiration.
365 Cards Day 136 ~ Roll the Dice I rolled an 8 so I added 8 pearls.
My Creation
Detail
I punched out several flowers, crumpled them up a bit, and then pulled the layers apart before layering.
