SE Graduate

This card was the last of my local themed cards of the season. Last night I boxed all the gradution supplies up. I have a few images already colored and ready for next year. I should just make them into cards now, but I'm too distracted by all the other ideas in my crafty brain!

Inspiration
Craftalicious Challenge #1 ~ New
Graduations always make me think of new beginnings. Such a wide world awaits the graduates!
Secret Crafter Challenge #87 ~ Quote
I'm a rebel again as my image isn't a true quote, but making a sentiment the focus is really hard for me - do you buy that? It's true! I can't color a sentiment as much as an image; and I LOVE to color.

Flowery Friendship

This card was so quick and easy; totally NOT my style. LOL. I tend to futz, and futz, and futz until I just have to walk away. I needed a simple thinking of you note for a friend and this fit the bill.

365 Cards Day 86 ~ Keep it Simple (1 image, 1 sent, 1 embell, no DP)
I rebelled at 'bit' on this one. I had the precut card base in my stash so I didn't actually 'add' any designer paper. That counts - right?

Preschool Graduate Card

This card was made for another super sweet girl in my life (little sis to DivaBella who also got a special graduation card posted here). Today I'm sharing NoisyBella's graduation card. She proudly walked across the stage for her PreSchool Completion Certificate. I sat next to mom, dad and little brother (Krazey) snapping photos non-stop. Until my furry cat herd is accepted into school, I will absorb the experiences through my friends human children. :o) I am also blessed to be NoisyBella's godmomma and auntie.

PaperPlay Challenge #23 ~ Home
I could interpret 'home' in any way I wanted. As the saying goes, home is where the heart is; and my heart belongs to those closest to me. NoisyBella is one of those people.

Real Life Inspiration
NoisyBella is the only person I know who can convey a smile while forcing a frown. This is a very common expression on her sweet mug. Cracks me up every time.

Citrus En-JOY

This card makes me smile all over. Something about the bright, sunny colors, the texture of the corduroy brad, the bit of bling; pretty much everything makes me happy. I hope the recipient will feel the same when they open it.

365 Cards Day 107 ~ Sing Along with a Twist (inspired by Rainbow Connection but NO rainbows)
Argh, I was so excited for this challenge until I saw the NO RAINBOW twist. The song makes me think of happy, positive things which I tried to convey in my card through color and the sentiment.
Everyone sing along now, "Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me."

DivaBella’s Graduation Card

I’m a bit behind with this card, as the graduation already took place. Life kind of cramps my stamping style from time to time. All is well since the graduate has been out of town and busy herself. The goal is to connect with her this week and hand off the sweets (that would be the card and a candy treat). What else would a Kindergarten graduate prefer?

Sketch Inspiration ~ OCC Sketch Challenge #19

Real Life Inspiration
Here’s my sweet DivaBella on her big day. It seems just a few days ago that I shed tears of joy at her arrival. I am so honored to be her godmother and auntie.

Inspiration
Hard to choose if the owl or real graduate is cuter! Certainly not the dorky auntie!
Pink Cat Studios has an awesome selection of digi and traditional stamps. The owl is part of their digi collection.

One Stop Craft Saturday Challenge #84 ~ Beer Me

This week at One Stop Crafts, Chrissie came up with an awesome sketch. I hope you can join in the fun! Plus, Digi Sparkle is our sponsor. They have some GREAT images and not just one, but a FULL set of freebie images each month. This month you can get Bugs for FREE! Their prices are reasonable and the selection is sure to offer you just what you're looking for. Check them out and let them know One Stop Craft Challenge sent you their way.

I thought the Beer Selection set was perfect for Father's Day and other masculine cards. Heck, I even have a few girlfriends who will giggle when I give them a bear card. THANK YOU Digi Sparkles for letting me play with your awesome images. I LOVE there are multiple images in the set. For my card I chose one image as the 'feature' and created my own designer paper with the other images. I'm sure you could use them for something other than beer; the 2 large foamy mugs would be great as root beer floats.

Sketch Inspiration ~ One Stop Craft Challenge #84

Color Inspiration ~ Color Throwdown #96

Inspiration
The sentiment was part of a sheet I picked up at Jo-ann's in the clearance bin (Fifty Cents for about 10 verses). The handsome gentleman peeking from the edge of the photo is my dad. He journeyed to heaven quite suddenly 5 years ago on June 15th. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and wish for one more hug.

Image Detail
I added Diamond Glaze over the glass part of the image. Usually I get stressed out with bubbles, but I thought they added a bit to my cervasa.

Inside
The inside of my card is all digital. I created the beer imaged paper in Word and the elements of the verse are all freebies from Paper Crafts magazine and Die Cuts With a View.

Punched Hearts Wedding Card

I've almost got graduation season behind me (still a few more cards to share) and that means it's time for Wedding Season! I made this card at a class this week and LOVED it. So quick, easy and elegant. I think I'll make a few more in different colors so I'm ready for whatever invitation shows up in my mailbox. I have a heck of a time photographing white cards, especially at my desk. It's a rainy day in MN so my outside photo studio is closed. That would be my front step or window ledge. :o) I apologize for the off color in the pics, hopefully you can use your imagination to sharpen things up.

Priscilla always gives us 2 versions of the weekly sketch. This week I went with simple.

This is SO easy! Punch out 3 hears (1 black, 1 white, and 1 in 'girly' white). Trim the black heart edges and glue on top of the white heart to create a tux. Add a bit of 'collar bling' to each heart and it's a bride and groom.
Inside
I tend to hoard my scraps and couldn't toss out this piece of decorate paper after I punched the heart. I used the negative space for the inside of my card and punched another black heart to fit into the space. A simple rub-on for the sentiment and a few hand drawn doodles to frame it.
