All That Stickles Sweet & Sparkly Blog Hop

Welcome to the last stop on the Sweet & Sparkly Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

The holidays are just around the corner, and the ATS design team has put together some fabulous, sparkly projects to help get in the holiday spirit!

If you're looking to start at the beginning of the hop, please visit All that Stickles. If you've come from Angeline's blog, you're in the right place.

I have some great stocking stuffers for little ones; they are also good to keep on hand for extra visitors and a cinch to make. I love little treat bags because they can be filled with anything for any age. The bag toppers are great for using up scraps and easy to decorate with stamps or embellishments.

I made these two stuffed with a pen and notebook. Perfect for a few tween girls I know.

A bit of turquoise Stickles adds some sparkle to the flower.

The tweens have a little brother who can't be left out. I stamped a simple Santa topper and even added a stamped image to the notebook he can color with the crayons.
I had fun coloring Santa with Stickles. Christmas Red, Holly, Black Diamond, Silver, Cotton Candy and Frosted Lace trim him out perfectly.

We have blog candy for those who are a follower of All that Stickles and leave a comment on every stop of the hop! Winners will be announced Wednesday December 18th at All that Stickles.

ATS Hop ~ Button Bonanza

Welcome to the Button Bonanza Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

Buttons are fabulous embellishments to all types of craft projects, and what better than to spruce them up with some Stickles?!

If you have just come across the hop and are looking to start at the beginning, please visit All that Stickles! If you've come from Ann's blog, you're in the right place.

I took a cute Halloween decoration and made even CUTER with buttons and Stickles.
This cracks me up and I'm tempted to hang on someone's door, or I could use it at my own work desk. Hmm, let's see, looks like the witch is IN.
A cute button dots the I.

Now the witch is out!
O's are great to replace with a button.

I went button crazy along the hats band and filled in all the spots with Purple Stickles. I used Stardust over the other areas.
Even the letter's received some Stickles Stardust.

Fall Surprise Card

Hello there friends! I'm sorry for the lack of posting of late. Life just keeps getting busier; no complaints other than it cuts into my blogging time. I'm staying super busy crafting but just don't get the projects shared out here.

Today I have a fun card to share. I took a 'surprise me' card class this week with my SU demonstrator and had a blast. I altered one of the cards to meet a few other challenges and because I needed something for my All That Stickles Pile Up post. I'm a glitter girl and Stickles are my go to for easy sparkle.

Thanks for looking! Spicey Cat Chick =^..^=
My Creation
The image is embossed with clear powder and then received a bit of Stickles. Since I was using SU standard ink, the embossing step keeps the ink from running when I add on the Stickles.

Are you ready for the surprise portion of the card?

Inside
Surprise! There's a cheery scarecrow and boy to cheer you! I colored the image in Copics and added copious amounts of Stickles.
The card base was cut using the SU Pop n' Cuts die. Before assembling the scene, I stamped some extra trees for background.
I cut fringe with some scraps of cardstock and added them around the image to imitate straw. Of course I had to add Distressed Scattered Straw Stickles to the fringe after I'd crumbled it a bit.
Here you can see the Stickles detail. I only used Distressed Stickles on the card so it's more of a texture than bling addition.

ATS Furry Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Furry Friends Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

Cute, cuddly, soft, and sweet, having a pet is quite the treat! This month we are honoring our furry friends with a dash of Stickles!

If you have just come across the hop and are looking to start at the beginning, please visit All that Stickles. If you've come from Chas's blog, you're in the right place.

If you've ever stopped at my blog, you've probably seen pics and read stories of my fur herd. Mr. Gears and I share our home with seven cats. At one point we had NINE (all house cats) and I vowed to never reach double digits. It's not easy when both adults are softies for any sad cat story. I believe the technical term for a group of cats is a clowder, but we coined the term Fur Herd. Trust me, with that many furry feet in a house there is fur EVERYWHERE.

I picked up this cute frame at a thrift store for a buck and couldn't decide what photo I would put in it. How can I choose just one from that line up at the top of the blog? The frame was pretty one note with the designs etched in, kind of like a fake marble surface.
The window is 2" x 3" so there's no way I could display all fur herd members in the frame. When I found the verse on TLC Creations site, I knew it would be perfect for my frame. I used Stickles to glam up the frame and now I have a sweet decoration for the kids to knock off the shelf. :o)
I added a layer of Stardust Stickles over the letters in CATS for some sparkle.
I'm primarily a card person so creating decorative items doesn't always come easy to me. Want to know what I love about Stickles? Oh wait, that would become a 10 page post, let me rephrase, know what ONE of my favorite things about Stickles is? They are SO versatile. You can add them to just about anything for a bit of texture and LOTS of sparkle.
I added Stickles to some of the designs in the frame and love how they turned out. All I had to to was squeeze and trace the existing lines. If you go slow and squeeze consistently, you can achieve a nice solid line. Above I used Cinnamon Stickles on the cat, Gold on the eyes, and Cotton Candy on the heart, nose and ears.
I changed it up and only added Orange Peel Stickles to this cat's stripes, eyes and ears the same, and threw in some Aqua Stickles on the fish bones.
I used Gunmetal Stickles on this cat's spots, Platinum Stickles on the paw and Thistle Stickles on the word love.
More Platinum Stickles on the MEOW, Stardust Stickles on the mouse, Silver Stickles scratch marks and Black Diamond, Green and Cotton Candy Stickles on the kitty face.

Grateful Flower Box

Wahoo for Wednesday bloggie friends! I completely forgot to share some exciting news. I was asked to write a bi-weekly feature over at the All that Stickles blog. You may have noticed my LOVE of the product and how I tend to use just about every color on my creations. My DT leaders are in love with the technique so we've created Pile Up Wednesdays.

Click over to the All that Stickles blog to see the full details of this card. You might get inspired and hopefully will pick up a few tips and tricks along the way. Today is my second post in the series.

Thanks for looking! Spicey Cat Chick =^..^=
My Creation
We have a Nature/Outdoors Linky Party going on at ATS so I created a card that would be welcome at the party. You have until Friday to join in the fun.

Image Detail
I added Stickles and Glossy Accents to the image for lots of texture and dimension.
I added free squeezed a squiggle of Glossy Accents over the preprinted verse. I'm in LOVE with the way the squiggle turned out.

Inspiration
Monday Lunchtime Sketch #277 I used the basic sketch elements but made my card landscape.
Alphabet Challenge ~ N for Newest Stampor Decoupage This is the newest digi in my collection and I was THRILLED to play with it right away.
Stampin for the Weekend Challenge ~Butterflies The butterfly was originally flitting by the flowers but I fussy cut it out and added it to the sentiment.
365 Cards Day 149 ~ Word Wednesday: Shining Do you see the shine in my window? Between that and the glitter you might need shades!
365 Cards Day 236 ~ Rainbowish (colors without actual image) I was inspired by rainbow stripes and LOTS of color. Granted I went with the paler end of the colors, but they are all there.

Dotty Birthday

Hello all, I have a fun card to share with some not so fun news. This is for the Spots and Dots challenge going on over at One Stop Crafts. This will be our last challenge as we will close our doors once the winner's are posted. I'm ever so grateful to the amazing Shelly at OSC for giving me my first real design team experience. I've loved getting to know the other DT members and will working with them. Thankfully the world of blogging will keep us all connected.

I created this card for my 12 year old god daughter. She's past the princess stage but still a kid so I wanted to make something girly but not completely kid-ish. Twelve was a big milestone for her as she is allowed to get her ears pierced AND sit in the front seat of the car. I thought I should reinforce the age with a glittery 12 on the card.

I hope you take a moment to stop over at OSCC to play in our final challenge.
Thanks for looking! Spicey Cat Chick =^..^=
My Creation

Image Detail
I embossed the large numbered background stamp in white embossing powder on white cardstock. I created a stencil using various punches and dies and then sponged the circles in random colors.
The verse is also embossed white on white and then inked with pink and cut out. Some random pearls and bling and the sparkly 12 and this is ready to send out. With a gift card for some ear ring shopping. :o)

Udderly Awesome

Hello there! I LOVE Doodle Pantry images and am always excited when I have time to play along with their monthly challenges. I needed a thank you card for some sweet friends who put us up during a recent vacation. The dad has a think for cows and I knew the Moo Sheep was perfect for their card. Mr. Gears and I hadn't seen the family since 2005 when the girls were our flower girls. Our lives took us hundreds of miles away from each other and I made it my mission to visit them this year. Mission accomplished!

Here are my girls in 2005 as the cutest flowergirls EVER! I've been part of their lives since the oldest was 6 months old. I started out as mom's coworker friend who offered to babysit and quickly became family.
We haven't change at all, right?

I am blessed to have this family in my life and can't wait to see them again!

Thanks for looking! Spicey Cat Chick =^..^=

I drew in the grass and was working with a specific color scheme so I know it's a little funky. :)

Inside
I made a pocket so I could tuck in a sweet Cherry Berry gift card.
Why Cherry Berry?  Well, we'd never been to one before and they treated us to our first experience! Here my god daughter photo bombed the shot - I love it!
