Changito Fang-tastic

I found this image in my already colored bin and made a quick card. I love Changito; Stampendous has so many cute characters. They were one of the first companies I fell in love with when I started stamping. I have several Halloween cards to share, I hope you can check them out.

Thanks for looking! Spicey Cat Chick =^..^=

Changito Boy Graduate

I've been having fun creating graduation cards for some very special people in my life. There are so many adorable images for grads, I might have to play with them all year long. :o)

I went with the rainbow inspiration in my striped paper.

1) 2 pieces of patterned paper you've had for at least a year (the black graduation paper is 3 years old and the striped scrap has been floating around my desk for quite a while. It came from a paper stack I bought several years ago)
2) Something that you've had for as long as you've been scrapping (that would be my trusty Creative Memories scissor that has snipped with me since I started scrapping 10 years ago)
3) Ribbon that you've had for at least 2 years (I found the Graduation ribbon on clearance at WalMart a few years ago and pull it out every year)

Java Junkie

I'm a major coffee fanatic. Doesn't matter if it's standard office brew, frou-frou from the coffee shop, splashed over ice; I love them all. One of my New Year's Resolutions is to give up carbonated drinks. I'm doing pretty well thanks to coffee being uncarbonated. Maybe one day I'll be able to cut out all caffeine, but not this

A Latte Fun at the OSC

Good morning! It's actually the wee hours of morning and I'm in need of either sleep or caffeine. Thankfully I'm hosting the challenge at One Stop Crafts this week and I chose Coffee or Tea inspiration. I'm a serious coffee lover. This time of year I treat myself to occasional frou-frou seasonal coffees. Caribou Coffee has a new spicy mocha that has knocked my previous fave, the Ho Ho Mint Mocha, out of the running. I could go for one about now, but I'll opt for sleep after I post my card.

Changito Work Anniversary Card

I apologize for being MIA for a few weeks. I am so happy to bid farewell to 2009 and welcome in 2010. My husband’s grandmother passed away December 12th which resulted in a whirlwind driving trip from MN to TX. Toss in the holidays and a case of the crud, and crafting wasn’t making the list. My goal is to make a card a day for 2010 (I’m already 4 cards behind). Hmm, maybe I should adjust that goal. I’m really just hoping for a nice boring year. Last year my husband and I lost 5 immediate family members. Our hearts have been heavy for awhile and I’m seriously struggling with the loss of my mom in September. The ‘good’ news is I’ll be 40 in 2010, the bad news, is that both of my parents will be watching their baby celebrate from heaven. Okay, enough of that.

I’m determined to have a very positive year and will roll with whatever is thrown my way. One of my supervisors is celebrating his 20 year anniversary with the company. I wanted to make a card, or course, and challenged myself to use only what was sitting out on my workspace (I’m still slowly getting the studio set up so everything is scattered). This was the only image I had pres-tamped that might actually work for the occasion. I love Changito and tried to make him look as ‘manly’ as possible. Thankfully even though I’ve been missing from the craft world, the awesome challenges continue. I was happy to adapt a few for my first card of the year. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

Another Changito Father’s Day

I just can’t stop making Changito Father’s Day cards! I did realize I tend to stick with a brown and blue theme for most of them. Maybe I should color Daddy’s pants a different color so I can branch out a bit. Masculine cards are always a challenge for me as I feel limited with my color palette. Something I need to experiment with a bit more. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

Changito PiggyBack Father’s Day

I admit that I’m somewhat ‘shape challenged’. My body is round and the majority of my cards are square/rectangular. Anytime I want to feel out of my element, I tackle a shape challenge. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

Changito Welcome Baby Card

A quick and easy baby card. It seems almost too plain and simple although it did take me awhile to ‘quilt’ the flannel pieces. I thought the quilt challenge was perfect for this sketch and the challenge to utilize fabric in a card. I cut strips of fabric and wove them together (adding a bit of liquid glue along the way. Then I glued the fabric 'quilt' to a piece of cardstock, trimmed and VOILA! (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

Blue & Blinged Changito Grad

My boss and her daughter claimed 20 graduation cards (WAHOO) so I only need to make a few more for my own use. This was super quick and easy since I used adhesive paper and stickers for the sentiment. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

Sketchy Changito Grad

I’m having a difficult time getting creative with gold, black and white in a graduation theme. My poor Changito stamp will be ready to jump out of my studio pretty soon! Not SUPER thrilled with this card, but I think it might just be burn out on my end. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

Citrus-ey Changito Grad

Onward Graduation Changito! The pile for my boss continues to grow. I’m a bit worried her daughter will go through the stash and only like a few and I’ll still be making these on the eve of graduation. Or else she’ll find one or two she loves and ask me for 10 of each. This wouldn’t be bad, since I could turn off my thinking cap, but I might not have enough supplies for mass production. Oh well, I’ll just stay on target and hope for the best. These would be much more difficult if it weren’t for the FABULOUS challenges that help me along. Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites.

Changito Knee Hug for Dad

I love Changito the Monkey; such a sweet face and there’s always an impish grin shining in his eyes. I snagged the latest Die Cuts With a View (DCWV) paper stack this weekend. I love using their mat stacks for cards. Each stack includes lots of paper and all the designs/colors coordinate with each other. I like mixing patterns so it helps when I know the colors match. Please see the Ins and Outs for the Challenge links.

Changito Coffee for Dad

There are several challenges this week to make ‘man’ cards. With Father’s Day just around the corner it’s the perfect time to fill a need and meet a challenge (please see Ins and Outs for Challenge Links). Plus, it’s a nice break from graduation cards!
