Get Well at One Stop Crafts

This card is for one of my dearest and oldest friends. We met as kids during summer vacations and kept in touch through the years. Not sure how often she checks my craft blog, so hopefully the card arrives in the mail before she sees it here. :o) The challenge at One Stop Crafts was PURRFECT as I needed a get well card for my friend. We have a new sponsor at the OSCC, A Day for Daisies. The DT got to play with some of their adorable images. I hope you can play with us this week and get the chance to win your own images. Stop by the OSC challenge blog to see the DT's Get Well creations and link up your own. I might have gone a tish overboard with the cat references, but can you really have too many? :o)

Another graduation card to share today. I was completely out of my stash this year and am making some extras so I'm prepared the next time the season comes around. You can take that as I'm planning ahead or just too lazy to put the graduation supplies away yet. :o)

Grad Owls Whoop it Up

This card

I picked up on the amazing colors in the movie poster and kept with the summer/end of school theme by choosing a graduation image. I’m pretty sure most kids would say a summer out of school is ‘not so terrible’.

Changito Boy Graduate

I've been having fun creating graduation cards for some very special people in my life. There are so many adorable images for grads, I might have to play with them all year long. :o)

365 Cards Day 52 ~ Spring Cleaning Recipe
1) 2 pieces of patterned paper you've had for at least a year (the black graduation paper is 3 years old and the striped scrap has been floating around my desk for quite a while. It came from a paper stack I bought several years ago)
2) Something that you've had for as long as you've been scrapping (that would be my trusty Creative Memories scissor that has snipped with me since I started scrapping 10 years ago)
3) Ribbon that you've had for at least 2 years (I found the Graduation ribbon on clearance at WalMart a few years ago and pull it out every year)

Father’s Day Kitty

Wahoo for Saturday's and a new challenge over at One Stop Crafts! This week the DT was challenged to create a Father's Day card. I had fun using a cute cat image from our sponsor, Robyn's Fetish. The image was actually a duo, and I just cut out one of the cats. We hope you'll make time to come and play with us!

Sketch Inspiration ~ Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #71
This is an old sketch I've been meaning to play with. I took it to the CAS style.

Digi Doodles Challenge #62 ~ No Backing Papers The challenge is to NOT use any patterned papers for your card background. That's tricky since I tend to always do so. I embossed a panel instead.

I used SU markers to color the blue and red portions and a grey colored pencil to give a bit o shading and texture to the body. Spicas provided a bit of glittery sheen over the top.
