Sassy in Blue

This card was part of my trio for last week's One Stop Craft Challenge, and I just didn't get around to posting it. Blue is one of my favorite colors (so close to the purple family afterall) and thi sassy lady wears it well.

Magnolia Sympathy

Hello blogging friends! I'm sorry I've been MIA for awhile. My crafting time has been scarce and the tidbits I have done haven't resulted in much that can be considered a complete project. I've been playing with my Kohinorh pencils and Kraft. I've oohed over other crafters AWESOME creations with the colored pencils and had to get my own set. After they 'rested' in the closet for a year I decided it was time to break them in. I haven't tried any blending techniques (do have the mineral spirits on the same shelf in the closet) but really like the raw lead on the paper. What do you think?

Sassy Spring Madness

I played with a few variations of the same image from Sassy Studios (our sponsor this week over at One Stop Craft Challenge - come and join in the Diamond Fun). This time I went for lots of bright cheery colors and utilized the awesome sketch over at Midnight Madness.

Diamonds at the OSCC

Wahoo! It's Saturday which means it's a new challenge over at One Stop Crafts Challenge. This week we are challenging you to be inspired by "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend'. Sassy Studios is our fabulous sponser. Please stop over to see the awesome creations by the DT and join in the fun. I pulled inspiration from some other awesome challenges and did and redid my card. I had visions of an elegant black and white creation with lots of sparkle. What happened was I kept smudging my black ink into my skin tones. I did all the image, except the black, and still messed it up when I pieced things together. After redoing the image 3 times, I just decided to roll with it. It's pretty tough to colorless blend black 'shadows' from a sassy girls face and arms or cover it up. I did a last ditch attempt with a glitter gel pen trying to acheive 'body glitter'. The main image, makes my girl look 'dirty/dusty' but the image detail shows what I was trying to  achieve.

Birthday Goat

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!
Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. I've been working on a few projects, but haven't had a chance to get them ready for my blog. Had a bit of fun earlier today creating silly pics for Facebook. I don't have a St. Patrick's Day card to share (but there is a half finished one on my desk), just a quick and easy masculine birthday card.

Color Fun at the OSCC

Welcome to the weekend! It's time for a new challenge at the One Stop Craft Challenge and this week we are looking for you to play with your colors. Create a card with black, white and your choice of one other color to play along.

Tip: I didn't have a small piece of Cherry Cobbler nearby, but did have the perfect sized scrap of red. To disguise the slightly 'off hue' I created a glitter border with Stickles to cover up the red mat. It worked to 'change' the hue to match the card base and added a punch of sparkle.

A+ Birthday

I've got a few cards to share with you as I kick off the weekend. It will be another busy one for me, so I want to get these posted before Monday rolls around. I know I didn't make the 365 challenges in time, but I decided I still want to try and finish them out. I wonder if I'll be able to combine any of the new challenges in with my old!

I Love My Teacher

I have a few friends who like to stock up on cards for the year, so I try to make sure I have a good variety for them. While my fur herd doesn't attend school, I have several friends with children who do. I though the MelJen's verse worked perfectly layered on the Phooka chalk board.

We are to use at least 3 of the fruit colors as inpiration. I was inspired by several: Melon, Apple, Banana, Kiwi, Pineapple, Papaya, Coconut

Bearied Teamwork

Today is the start of a new challenge year at 365 Cards. You guessed it, I didn't make my goal of completing all of the challenges in time. I think I'll still try to work in as many as I can from last year as I give it my all to stay current this year. I don't anticipate any crazy life alternating events....but one never knows.

This card is for a special coworker. We often notice how some people spend more time trying to find someone to blame for an issue than just sitting down and fixing it. She and I are usually quick to volunteer to shoulder the blame, simply because it drives us nuts to bicker back and forth unproductively. I used a window panel to peek in at Gruffie working away.

Reindeer Noel

The lovely crew at Simon Says Stamp is having a DT Call. I'm a long time fan of all of their blogs and love to play in their challenges; may as well toss my name into the hat. :o) The theme this week is Coffee and Cream. While I am a huge coffee addict, I opted to go with a color interpretation of the theme, with a bit of mint tossed in.

Use 2 stamps, only partial piece of images. My reindeer and postmarks are 'half' on the panel.

I tried to add 'frost' with my Stickles, but I think my I grabbed the wrong 'clear' bottle as there's a bit of green sparkle to it. Since it's a Christmas card and the base is green, I thought it was an unexpected twist...in a good way.
