Coffee Chit Chat

This card was so quick once I just sat down to make it. I'd had the image in my colored basked for awhile and wanted a card for one of my BFF's who shares a love for coffee. By using a preprinted card base the colors and layout just fell into place. I added a few embellies and voila - a cute card for one of my favorite chicas!

Fall Shopping with Bella

Wahoo! I finally had a chance to play with Bellarific Friday! This week Emily challenged us to deck out Bella in fall colors. I’ve had this image in my already colored bucket since last fall. In my ongoing quest to clear off my desk of half finished projects, she finally landed on a card! WAHOOOOOOO, one more done. I won’t tell you how many others are in that bucket. :o)

Latte Bella

There are three great sketches over at the Midnight Madness Challenge to carry us through the holidays. I have several Bellas who have been neglected. I thought I would get ahead of things by stamping several images and even colored a few. Well....now they are gathering dust! LOL. I'm proud to finally get one of my girls to land on a card. :o)

Photo Inspiration ~ Crafty Creations Challenge #98
I LOVE photo challenges. Often I'll use the color for inspiration, but in this one I felt the girly vibe, added my version of a 'ruffley' ribbon, and picked up on the polka dots in the linens that are reflected in my DP.

I just finished reading The Espressologist by Kritina Springer It’s a debut release, so I’m stretching things a bit by choosing a favorite writer; however, I’m an avid reader and try not to play favorites so whatever I just finished or am currently page turning is my fav! This is a great quick read about a girl who works at a coffee shop and matches people’s personalities to their choice in drinks.

Mariposa Gertie

Thanks for coming along with me on my week of inspiration at One Stop Craft Challenge. As you've noticed, my mom was a very important person to me and continues to help direct my life from heaven. This is my last creation for the challenge and I appreciate those of you who took time to play along. Check the OSC blog tomorrow to see who won the prize from DewDropz Crafts.

Charisma Cardz #36 ~ Try Something New
I’ve done handmade flowers before, but this was the first time I used paper scraps. The larger flowers are strips of scrap paper scrunched and turned in a circle. The small flower is another scrap paper that I rolled into a noodle and coiled it on a glue dot.

My Creation

Yep, that's the true inspiration for the challenge peeking out next to the card, my mom. My dad is peeking from the other side. I miss them greatly, but am at peace knowing they are reunited in heaven.

I used the feather blending techinique with Copics to color Gertie.

Fluttering Gertie

My mom passed on a love of butterflies to me, so this was a HAVE to have it when I saw the stamp. I'm finally getting around to creating with sweet Gertie and can't wait to keep playing!

Sketch Inspiration ~ Bellarific Friday
Color Inspiration ~ Makeup 4 for the Weekend #14
Honestly, this was my original inspiration, but the colors got a bit darker in my card. I loved the breezy blue and picked up on the ‘peek’ of green in the plant and book under the bed. I thought the colors would be beautiful feather blended together on my butterfly girl. They just got a bit dark as I tweaked them. Plus the flower decorations ‘fluttering’ from the ceiling made me think of butterflies.

Bella for a Cause

I've had this image in my basket for a few months from a swap and decided to join into some of the fun challenges focused on the color pink. The Get Sketchy sketch was perfect for a quick layout. I apologize for the off color in the photos. Not sure why I'm having problems this morning. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).
Sketch Inspiration ~ Get Sketchy #12
The bonus was to add spray ink, but I didn't have any. Join in before 11/5 and you could win a $50 voucher at http://www.stampingbella.com/.
Color Inspiration
I know I stretched this a bit, but I just couldn't find a way to add in the green. In my world Bella's undies are green. :o)

Blinged Out Bella

The original inspiration for this card came from a new Challenge Blog I found (Charisma Cardz). ‘Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend’ made me realize I didn’t have and ‘congrats on your engagement’ cards in my stash. Problem solved. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).
Sketch Inspiration ~ Friday Sketchers #57 I took off the flower embellishment as there wasn’t much room (I used a standard sized card instead of a square). I think all the BLING add enough oomph.

Lavender Bellarific Eloise

I just LOVE a challenge where I can use purple (it’s my FAVORITE color). I’m not partial to a specific shade of the royal hue, I’m an equal opportunity color lover. I received this image in a swap and had so much fun with her. Stamping Bella carries a line of Bitty Blooms as well which are similar. They are high on my wish list, but for now I’m happy to get images in a swap. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

Shopper Bella

Another quick and easy card from an image swap. I used several challenges for my Bella but think I might try another for the FeatureBella Challenge. I’ve done a few red, white and blue cards lately and am losing my mojo. Even the bling of silver didn’t inspire me. I have a craft date tonight at my local scrapbook store so maybe I’ll come up with something eles. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).

Naughty Bella

No, Bella didn’t do anything wrong (unless looking fabulous is a crime). This card is for a very good friend who loves a nice glass of wine and has personalized license plates that match the card’s sentiment. Her birthday is a week after Independence Day so the color scheme isn’t to far fetched. (Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenge websites and feel free to join in the fun).
