Magnolia Sympathy

Hello blogging friends! I'm sorry I've been MIA for awhile. My crafting time has been scarce and the tidbits I have done haven't resulted in much that can be considered a complete project. I've been playing with my Kohinorh pencils and Kraft. I've oohed over other crafters AWESOME creations with the colored pencils and had to get my own set. After they 'rested' in the closet for a year I decided it was time to break them in. I haven't tried any blending techniques (do have the mineral spirits on the same shelf in the closet) but really like the raw lead on the paper. What do you think?

Party Time Dude

Today would have been my dad's 70th birthday. He journeyed to heaven suddenly in June 2005 and there's been a huge hole in my life ever since. As the only daughter, he and I had a very special relationship. The card I'm sharing doesn't 'look' like my dad, it just evokes a smile ~ which is something thoughts of dad bring to my face.

Betty Bumblethorpe is Here

Just Inklined is a relatively new dig stamp line and they have a whole line of these expressive seniors. I had so much fun shopping and can’t wait to share more of them with you. I thought Betty Bumblethorpe fit perfectly with the quote.

I used Diamond Stickles along the frame of Betty’s glasses for sparkle and Diamond Glaze for the lenses. I opted for a purple tinted locks as that will be my choice when the time comes.
I added Stickles to her slippers for some extra attitude.
