Faux Tin Sympathy

This card uses a technique called Faux Tin. It works best with an outlined stamp and adds some shine and shimmer to your card. Just dig out your embossing powders and have fun!

Punched Tree

I’ve seen lots of these adorable trees popping up in Blog Land, so I had to give it a try. SO easy and it really adds some oomph to a card. I’ve been waffling about purchasing the SU punch, but I must have been a good girl for guess what I found in my Christmas stocking!

Soothing Sympathy

I've had this card in my 'to post' folder for awhile. I've been so focused on Christmas cards, I've neglected building up my stash of other occassions. It was fairly quick and simple and I like the monochromatic scheme (something I seldom do).

Thankful Pumpkin Mice

I'm still cleaning off my desk and found another image I started coloring last year. I started playing with it last month for a Thanksgiving card, but since I had an inpromptu road trip my little mice were stranded in the studio. I wanted a few thank you cards on hand for after the holidays and thought they would pair nicely with the Stampabilities sentiment.

I'm always hesitant to use pins on my cards but feel better by tucking the sharp end under a piece of cardstock I can tape down.

Golden Santa

One of my dear crafty friends gave me this template to make Santa. I didn't have a swirly embossing folder for the beard, but found this lovely gold swirled paper in my stash. It was from a wedding invitation kit. The next time I make him I'll use the googly eyes instead of the dew drops. I tried gluing the dew drop on a piece of black paper, but now he looks like he has cataracts or something. Just a 'bit' cloudy. LOL.

Silly Christmas Mice

I love House Mouse and Friends stamps and have a LARGE inventory. Sadly I don’t get to play with them that often. I need to find techniques to use them other than full out coloring. As much I as love to color, most of the HM stamps are large and detailed. I can spend hours on coloring before I even think about putting the image on a card! Thankfully there are a few challenges out there that encourage me to use my old supplies. I’ve had this stamp for a few years and even colored the image LAST Christmas, it’s about time I put it on a card. I used digital word art from TLC Creations for the inside verse.

Sparkly Snow Family

Hi bloggies! I'm sorry I've been absent from blogland for a few weeks. I just wrapped up a wonderful road trip adventure from MN to Fla to see family and back again. It was an absolutely wonderful trip and over much too quickly. I was able to carve out a bit of time for coloring and putting this card together for the One Stop Craft Challenge. This week we're challenging you to play along with our Let it Snow theme.

Sketch Inspiration ~ Midnight Madness Sketch #132 I rotated the sketch to the left.
