Udderly Awesome

Hello there! I LOVE Doodle Pantry images and am always excited when I have time to play along with their monthly challenges. I needed a thank you card for some sweet friends who put us up during a recent vacation. The dad has a think for cows and I knew the Moo Sheep was perfect for their card. Mr. Gears and I hadn't seen the family since 2005 when the girls were our flower girls. Our lives took us hundreds of miles away from each other and I made it my mission to visit them this year. Mission accomplished!

Here are my girls in 2005 as the cutest flowergirls EVER! I've been part of their lives since the oldest was 6 months old. I started out as mom's coworker friend who offered to babysit and quickly became family.
We haven't change at all, right?

I am blessed to have this family in my life and can't wait to see them again!

Thanks for looking! Spicey Cat Chick =^..^=

I drew in the grass and was working with a specific color scheme so I know it's a little funky. :)

I made a pocket so I could tuck in a sweet Cherry Berry gift card.
Why Cherry Berry?  Well, we'd never been to one before and they treated us to our first experience! Here my god daughter photo bombed the shot - I love it!

All that Stickles Baby Blog Hop

Welcome to the Baby Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

Bring on the bouncing babies! It's time for a Baby Blog Hop filled with all sorts of cute, fun, and of course, sparkly, baby themed projects!

If you've come from Cynthia's blog, you're in the right place! If you've just come across the hop and would like to start at the beginning, please visit All that Stickles.

For my project, I've made a centerpiece to use at a baby shower.
I took this (all bought on clearance or with a coupon)
and turned it into this:
Can you spy all my Stickles additions?
The prefabbed box had a few flaws. Look at that sloppy glue peeking out from under the letters.
An quick cover up is a sparkly layer of Ice Stickles to create a fab border.
And look at the inconsistent painting of the brown border, I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this! LOL
With Stickles in hand, anything is possible. I used Cinnamon to cover up the gaps and add a beautiful border.

Did you notice a few other additions to the box? Why those are Dew Drops which you can find at one of our fabulous April sponsors, The Robin's Nest. I used the GLUE feature of Stickles to adhere them and also Stickled over some of the existing polka dots. You can see a bit of glitter shine through the more transparent Dew Drops.
What to stick in my basket/box? Why, some Easter/Spring clearance items. These cute polka dot pinwheels were very interesting to my crafty helper, Dolly. She must have thought they were flowers.
I didn't like the plain wooden 'knob' in the center so I grabbed m Copics and colored then in to match and then added a layer of Stickles. A few dabs over some of the polka dots and just enough glitter to go from plain to POW.
Always keep an open mind when you are browsing the craft aisle. Eggs aren't just for Easter, they make great accents for baby themes also. I found this set of six eggs on deep discount after Easter at Hobby Lobby. They are covered in fabric and already on a stick, perfect for using in a centerpiece.

I used Stickles to glue on more Dew Drops to some and doodled lines and dots over some of the eggs.

To pull together the baby/egg theme, I used this adorable image and sentiment from Doodle Pantry to create a wrapper to the big bottle bank. I filled the bottle with baby themed rubber ducks that will act as favors to the guests.
Here's a close up of the image.
Nothing is free from Stickles as I added Baby Blue to the egg and bow.
Whew, that was a lot of pics! I hope you are able to be inspired to think outside the box when you are crafting and remember that Stickles makes everything better!

We have blog candy for those who are a follower of All that Stickles and leave a comment on every stop of the hop! Winners will be announced Wednesday April 24th at All that Stickles.

The All that Stickles DT is happy to share with you a variety of spring-themed projects created using Stickles, of course! Now that Valentine's Day is over and we're in the final weeks of winter (finally!) it's time to THINK SPRING! :)

If you've come from Tonya's blog, you're in the right place. If you've just come across the hop and would like to start at the beginning, please visit All that Stickles.

For my project, I created a spring color inspired card.

 Image Detail
I colored my image with Copics and created a dotted border with Liquid Pearls.
I used Stickles to create a sparkly border of my sentiment.
I used Stickles to jazz up the design of my designer paper. I filled in some of the hearts and flowers, and highlighted some of the lines in the plaid pattern. It's an easy way to add texture and interest to your card with very little effort.

Precious Piglet

Wahoo, for another week at One Stop Craft Challenge. This week we are sponsored by the AMAZING Doodle Pantry. I just love their images and chose to play with Precious Piglet for my card. Our challenge at OSCC is 'Anything Goes' so we expect to see lots of you playing along. You don't have to use a Doodle Pantry image, but we'd love to see you support our sponsor if you can. Laurie has several freebies on her site, so check them out.

I always have fun with DP images and pulled inspiration from several other challenges to create my card. Now I just have to pick who will receive my sweet piglet.

Thanks for looking! Spicey Cat Chick =^..^=

Image Detail
I used Copics to color the image and added shine with metal accent clips, pearls, stickles (in his eyes) and liquid pearls to the flowers. Not overly bling-ey, but still plenty of sparkle in real life.
I used lots of pop up dots to make my piglet fly off the page. The green frame is actually popped up from the image and then the image is popped up from the base. The white 'waves' along the bottom are all popped up intermittently as well.

We are having lots of BINGO fun over at One Stop Crafts this week with some AWESOME prizes. Doodle Pantry has some of my favorite images, especially the kitties! It's really easy to connect 3 for a Bingo and create a fabulous card. I hope to see you linked up at the OSCC. I used inspiration from several other challenge blogs this week as well.
