Sparkle and Bling Fairy

The best part about waking up on Saturday's is knowing there's a new challenge over at One Stop Craft Challenge! Well, and the fact I can sleep in a bit, enjoy a cup of coffee, and hopefully start out stress free. This week the OSCC is sponsored by A Day For Daisies, I just LOVE their whimsical images. The DT really knocked it out of the park with their cards, so I hope you'll pop over to check them out. Then YOU will be inspired to Bling it On with us!

The bit of gold ribbon on the bottom of my card was repurposed from a flower arrangement. I've had it in my stash for years!
It didn't photograph well, but I used Spicas all over my image for added shimmer. I paper pieced her wings, headband, and dress with digi papers.
Triple Bling - Stickles glitter, metallic paper, and rhinestones.
Tip: An easy way to add extra oomph to your creation is to use Stickles over the designs in your patterned paper. Here I doodled over some of the heart edges and swirls.

Cheshire Thank You

I went a 'bit' large with this image, I'm not sure what I was thinking. It was fun to color (with Copics) but once I was done I had no clue how to lay it out on a card. So, I just let my cheerful kitty take center stage. I couldn't get the sentiment to fit anywhere nicely, so I was inspired to give him his own dog tags.

Digital Delights is sponsoring our Thank You challenge over at One Stop Crafts this week. Finish off your holiday thank you cards and come join in the fun. We'd love to see what you create!

Noel Polar Bears

We dropped 35 degrees since lunchtime today in southern Minnesota. Every time I went in or out a door I could feel the temperature dropping and the wind blowing. I don't mind since we don't get below zero temps very often and they don't stay for very long. In a few days we'll be back to normal (still wintery but back to double digit temps). I thought it was only fitting to share my cool polar bear Christmas card. The bears are super easy to make using circle dies  or punches. I sponged the edges for a shadow and drew in the eyes.

Mo Pet Sympathy Card

I have a hard time making sympathy cards of any sort, but those needed for fur herd members get me especially choked up. A very dear friend of mine bid farewell to her fur baby, Butch. I knew the perfect image, Angel with Kitty from Mo Manning, and quickly purchased it so I could create this card for her. I used lots of butterflies which I always associate with flying heavenward.

Peace on Earth Tag

As I’m packing up my holiday stuff, I keep finding creations that I forgot to share. Here’s a tag decoration I made from Stampin Up supplies. It’s large enough to hang on a tree as an ornament, or could be used on a present for a to/from tag. I tend to make mostly cards, so even a tag pushes me outside of my comfort zone. Not sure why, it’s actually easier than a card since I don’t have to worry about decorating the inside!
