I’m in love with Mo Manning’s artwork (check out her store HERE)! I’m still experimenting in the world of Digi Stamps and her designs are so fun to play with. As mom to seven fur babies, I HAD to get her Cat Love image. When we were called to TX for my grandma-in-law’s funeral, I relied on my dear friend, and fellow cat lover, Sue to tend to ‘da herd. We made a Texas Treats Thank You Gift Basket for her and I needed a card. I couldn’t get 7 cat images on the card, so they are represented by the seven tear drops. It was so much fun to make and fairly quick and easy.
I’m finally caught up on my blog reading list and was inspired by so many great challenges. I can’t believe I combined TWELVE in this one simple card. I’ve added a note after each challenge explaining how my creation fits and added the links so you can join in the fun. This is only card #2 for 2010, but I hope to get caught up this weekend and then stick to my goal of a card a day. I have about 10 cards on my list that need to be made, so the only challenge is to make the time.
Shirleys2Girls Twisted Thursday Challenge #38 ~ Sketch and use hearts (I rotated the sketch)
Bee Crafty Challenge #21 ~ Thank You Card (This was made as a thank you card for a pet sitter).
Corrosive Challenge #45 ~ A Few of my Favorite Things (We were to use two of our favorite embellishments. I LOVE charms and dew drops).
Pile it On ~ Challenge #29 ~ Anything Digital & Challenge #30 ~ Crystal Clear (My image is a digital from Mo Manning and it might be a stretch, but my orange tear drops are ‘almost’ crystal clear).
365 Cards Day 312 ~ Metal Mania (We were to add a piece of metal to our card, I used heart charms.)
PaperPlay Challenge ~ Precious Metal (We were to add a piece of metal to our card, I used heart charms.)
Our Creative Corner ~ Clean & Simple (For me this is pretty clean and simple. Just the one image and a few randomly placed tear drops. The card base conveys the pattern for me).
One Stop Craft Challenge #61 ~ Something with a B (I know this is a stretch, but the gems and charms are also called BRIGHT BAUBLES. At least in my world. LOL)
PaperTake Weekly Challenge ~ New Beginnings (I used my lovely new tear drops that Santa tucked in my stocking.)
I colored the kitties with Copics and used Spicas on their noses, ears and for lines of fur.
INS AND OUTS ~ Kitty Love for Sue
