A Latte Fun at the OSC

Good morning! It's actually the wee hours of morning and I'm in need of either sleep or caffeine. Thankfully I'm hosting the challenge at One Stop Crafts this week and I chose Coffee or Tea inspiration. I'm a serious coffee lover. This time of year I treat myself to occasional frou-frou seasonal coffees. Caribou Coffee has a new spicy mocha that has knocked my previous fave, the Ho Ho Mint Mocha, out of the running. I could go for one about now, but I'll opt for sleep after I post my card.

365 Cards Day 241 ~ Scavenger Hunt Take 3 items not typically used in card making from around house. I used paper clips, rubber bands, and notebook paper.
365 Cards Day 265 ~ Super Stretchy Saturday Use something stretchy on card. I used a rubber band.

My Creation

Image Detail
I created a one of a kind flower with a few rubber bands lying on my desk. I really like how it turned out. The perfect way to add flowers on a male themed card.

  4. Your card is sooo cute and you did a great job with the CTD colors, but I must say my absolute favorite part is the flower you made! It's original and fresh and I haven't seen it anywhere before and I LOVE IT! I am totally going to try this! It IS a great flower for masculine card, I agree! GREAT JOB!

  8. What a fabulous idea to use rubberbands to create flower petals. Very creative and very cute. Especially with this fun image and colors.

Thanks for commenting on my "Family Photos". Yes... it is hard to deny any animal in need even if we have as many as we can handle. This is the most we have ever had at one time. But at least we have a big house and 7 acres of land to keep them on now. About 10 years ago, we had moved this area but our house, which was being renovated, was not ready to move in to. Hubby and I and 2 big dogs and 7 cats (some of which I had just taken in from my mother when she had to move to a senior living facility) all lived in a 500 sq ft cabin! That was close quarters. We have also taken in unwanted guinea pigs and fish too. Our cats now encompass ones rescued from bad outdoor situations, ferals and a couple in need of a lot of medical help that no one else was willing to be responsible for. I think over the years we've rescued/rehibiltated at least 30 animals in our home and hundreds more at the animal shelter and wildlife sanctuary I have worked at in the past. I do believe that every person on Earth has a mission to fufill. Mine is to rescue animals and give them a great home with lots of love.
