Sassy Girl

This is a card and 'special' envelope I made as a Thank You to my aunt. She and I have always had a close relationship and since my mom passed, I feel even closer to my aunts. They are the closest thing I have on earth to connect me to my mom. My aunt is a doll collector and has lots of girly touches throughout her home. I knew the image from Sassy Cheryl would be perfect for her. There are a few more photos than normal, so I apologize if I'm slowing you down. :o) You can always click on a photo to see it larger.

Birthday Space Alien

My stash of boy cards is always running low, so I thought I'd work on my 365 Cards challenges and fill the slot in my card basket. Time's ticking and I really want to complete all the challenges from the past year. I played with my SU chalks on this, which is something I haven't done for a LONG time. I'm pretty much a Copic girl, but it's fun to go back to my crafting roots every now and then. :o)

There are many options to meet the challenge: easel cards, tri-shutter, swing fold, gate fold, etc. or you can use my train of thought and play with a teabag fold. Peaceful Blue Winter

Christmas may be over, but winter still has a strong hold on my area of the world. I decided to keep out some of my 'holiday/winter' stamps and make a few generic cards for the season that can be easily customized with the inside verse. I'm really pleased with how this turned out.

Tickled Pink Donkey

This card came together fairly quickly. I'm focused on creating cards with supplies I already have on hand AND using the digi images I've printed (and often colored). I've noticed that I tend to color more than create! Then I get grumpified when my colored image gets chewed by the fur herd or crinkled in the drawer. I went to a retreat this past weekend and worked only with images that were already colored - in most instances I'd already tucked the coordinating cardstock with the image. I was amazed at how many cards I actually finished. I've been know to go to a 2 day retreat and only have 2 cards to show for it!

Bounty of Flowers

This card started out a beautiful basic terra cotta pot, and then I started futzing.............and couldn't stop. Many layers later, I think I'm done. Now the challenge will be to get it into an envelope and mailed without anything falling off!

Sketch Inspiration ~ 365 Cards Day 266 ~ Super Sketchy Sunday
Oops, the sketch should flip so the two lines are at top.

Included at least 10 flowers on the card from 3 different sources. I have punched flowers, flowers in the sentiment image, and in the tile border image.

Java Junkie

I'm a major coffee fanatic. Doesn't matter if it's standard office brew, frou-frou from the coffee shop, splashed over ice; I love them all. One of my New Year's Resolutions is to give up carbonated drinks. I'm doing pretty well thanks to coffee being uncarbonated. Maybe one day I'll be able to cut out all caffeine, but not this

Glittering Snowflakes

This card was one of a series I played with. I tend to create a lot with images I color in and am trying to take a different path every now and then. I seldom wet emboss because I never seem to have the supplies easily at hand. This card has a 'faux' wet embossing look as I used a glue stamp pad for the large snowflake and sprinkled silver glitter over the stamped image.

Inspiration

Use a shape with a minimum of 5 sides as your dominant shape. My snowflake should qualify.
365 Cards Day 291 ~ Detachable Ornament
365 Cards Day 276 ~ Ephemera
I may have stretched this, as I’ve made an effort over the past few years to get rid of those little snips and bits. I did have this lovely silver cording from a Christmas gift and knew I could use it on a card.
365 Cards Day 258 ~ Tone on Tone
Cut out any shape in the same tone as your base and place it on the card.

Hang in There

I've had some of Karen's images printed out for a looooooooooong time. My printed digi file is actually overflowing. I think I could make it the entire year just using images I've already printed. But, I won't do that! There are always so many amazing new images coming down the pipeline. I have resolved to go through the file once a week and pull out images to use.

Color Inspiration ~ 365 Cards Day 295 ~ Ad Inspired
I'm a bit tuckered out with Christmas cards, so I took inspiration from the colors in the pic.

OSC Design Team Card ~ Card for a Child

It's my favorite time of the week ~ Saturday morning and a new challenge is posted at One Stop Crafts. WAHOO! This week Chrissie is challenging us to make a card for a child. I couldn't help but use some of our amazing sponsor's (Robyn's Fetish) images. I love this little snowman and I added the snow wagon to create a scene. I tried to be clever and add a candle to the snow pile, but it might just look like a shovel since I created a blue flame. Thankfully the kid receiving it isn't too critical of such things. I hope you'll find time to join us this week. You could win some great images from Robyn!

Donkey Smiles

Wahoo! I'm getting my take of the Midnight Madness Sketch posted BEFORE the last minute (or usually long after the challenge is over). This week's sketch was fairly simple to adapt and I had this large donkey image already printed and colored. With the cold snowy weather in the outside world, she makes me think of the lovely spring to come.

Brrrrrrr

This card is perfect for today. Last week at this time we had our second day of rain. The puddles quickly turned to ice and today we have a strong NW wind that chills you to the bone. I love the beauty in snow, just not as much when it's pelting me in the face. LOL

New Job Cheers

Wahoo for a new year and new beginnings. I wanted to make a fun card for my friend who recently got a new job (same company just a step up). She's been working really hard to get there so I thought it was appropriate to congratulate her and remind her to chillax for a moment.
