One Stop Craft Saturday Challenge #96 ~ Photo Inspiration

Good Morning! Or in my case, good night. I'm the hostess over at OSCC this week and didn't do very well at planning ahead. As a result, I'm awake at 3:30 AM typing blog posts. Sleep is coming soon.....

Every Saturday we have a new challenge over at the One Stop Craft Challenge blog. This week I chose a photo inspiration challenge. There are actually 2 photos to pull inspiration from and the DT really did some amazing things. I do hope you'll join in the fun. Create a car, or other craft, inspired by one, or both of the photos below. Link up your NEW creation by Midnight CST, Friday the 10th, and you could win a prize from DewDrop Craftz.

Here are the photos:

This is my first time hosting at OSCC and I couldn't decide what theme to run with. I started the week with a pile of pieces and parts, and finally decided I would just finish all of them. The challenge is really to honor my mom, Monarchs have special significance for me, who journeyed to heaven a year ago. She always loved receiving the cards I'd make and I know she'd love to get these as well.

I'll be featuring the challenge on my blog all week and spotlight one of the cards each day. I hope you stop back to check them out in closer detail. I'll have detailed photos, supply info and the story of how the inspiration photos led me to the final creation. It's going to be a good week!

To join the challenge, hop over here for more info.

  1. Thanks for the most awesome challenge Cat; it was an honour to make something for this one.
The variety in the cards you've shown here is fantastic. I'm really taken with the sensational tiger image; it reflects the Monarch colours perfectly. Such beautiful work!

  2. Cat, thanks for this amazing challenge. I loved playing with my Photoshop Elements to make my digital card, which I can print out to send, if I like. The beautiful Monarch butterflies were certainly an inspiration. Your cards above are beautiful and varied. All of them have the Monarch's coloring. I love the tiger. That type of (Georgia O'Keeffe-ish) art has always fascinated me.
