~ETA: Candy is closed...congrats to JAC!~
Wahoo! I’m so excited to kick off an amazing blog hop for One Stop Crafts. We are celebrating our 2nd blogaversary by holding our first ever blog hop. In addition to the hop, we’re featuring our 104th challenge. The theme this week is ‘Anything Goes’. We hope to see LOTS of you playing along. There are some wonderful sponsors lined up with great prizes, and you just might find some sweet treats as you hop about. Here are the rules for the hop/challenge:
1. Visit all the blogs on the list.
2. Leave a comment on each blog
2. Leave a comment on each blog
3. Upload the link to your “Anything Goes’ craft project using the linky tool at One Stop Craft Challenge
4. Have Fun and Be INSPIRED
Here are the prizes from our awesome sponsors:
Some of the Design Team gals are giving away candy on their blogs; just follow their guidelines to be eligible to win their candy. Hang in there, I know this is a long post, but if you stay with me you might find the first taste of something sweet! I’ve been in full Halloween mode and used the challenge to create a witch hat shaped treat box.
Sketch Inspiration ~ 365 Cards Day 45 ~ White Space
I've been dreaming about this sketch for months (my list of 'to dos' for the 365 challenges will keep me awake when I'm stumped). I don't know if Pam will give me partial credit for this? I kept lots of white space and was certainly influenced by triangles.

Inspiration
Color Me Copic Challenge ~ Make Up Color faces with eye shadow and blush. I have a sassy mummy on the back of my project and gave her a tint of blush, eyeshadow, and even played with her lipstick.
My Creation
Just untie the ribbon and the witch hat opens to reveal some Halloween treats.
Ready for some crafty sweets?
Check out the Sassy Mummy keeping on eye on any sneaky attacks from behind.
What’s Halloween without a little bit of candy? I’m offering this stash (retail value over $50) to a random commenter who plays in the challenge, and answers my question, “What was your favorite costume you ever wore?” The candy is available only to commenter's on my blog, not the challenge site.
Here’s what you could win from me:
- 6x6 Chipboard Album Kit (Me & My Big Ideas)
- 4.5x6.5 Indian Summer Matstack (Die Cuts With a View)
- 2 packs of 9 Christmas brads (Target)
- 18 paper tags notepad (Target)
- 2 packs Chunky Blue Button Shapes (Dress it Up)
- 2” Rub-On Alphabet in Black (Jo-Anns)
- 2” Rub-On Alphabet in White (Jo-Anns)
- Metal Square Alphabet Clips (Jo-Anns)
- Metal Round Alphabet Clips (Jo-Anns)
- 2 sets acrylic Halloween stamps (studio g)
Okay, are you ready to hop? Next stop is the amazing Chrissie. Remember to follow the rules and here’s the order in case you get lost along the way. Post a project at OSC, then come back here and answer my question in the comment section and you could win my candy! SWEET!

Fabulous work Cat. luv gina xx
ReplyDeleteGreat project!! I was dressed in my dads police uniform and had an eyebrow pencil mustached LOL! Thanks for letting me play
ReplyDeletexdebrax@yahoo.com
Fab candy treat box and fab candy too, my fave halloween costume, I think would have to be my red witch costume, I made a medieal style red satin dress with long train and sleeves and had long red false finger nails mine just won't grow. I wore it to give out halloween treats as well as to the haloween party we held a couple of years ago, not awfully practical but I loved the way I felt all glamed up and I certainly stood out from the crowd.
ReplyDeleteGreat witches' candy hat. Favorite costume...hard to remember. I do remember one year I broke my knee and wore a cast from the top of my leg to my ankle. It was one of those old hard plaster cast. THAT was the worst Halloween...couldn't even hobble anywhere for candy.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Georgiana
I love your witch's hat project!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite ever costume was a Little Bo Peep dress and bonnet and crook set that my Mum made for a dress-up party for me when I was little. She still has the dress and it fits my daughter!!
Wow, love the hat!
ReplyDeletethis is my first ever blog hop :-)
thank you for the generous candy too!!
my favorite costume would have to be a cat costume i made myself 4 years ago. felt really catish ;-)
Thanks for the chance to win. Happy 2nd Blogaversary. My fave costume was whem I dressed as a leopard...had a long knit dress in leopard print and made a long tail of fabric that I had to trim off because it was too long. Made a copy of the fabric on my scanner to print paper to make ears and mask...was one of my craftier costumes.
ReplyDeleteFabby piece of work Cat.
ReplyDeleteLove

Without a doubt, the year I dressed up as Minnie Mouse - too fun!

What a great witches hat box.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite costume has to be my witches outfit which consists of a long black velvet dress covered in gold embroidery with long dangly sleeves. I also wear a long black cape which I made a very large spider's web on the back complete with hairy spider.

ReplyDeleteAs for my favourite costume, well I only really remember one, and it was made out of a black bin liner but I loved it. It was a little witches outfit that my Mum made for a Halloween party at school when I was about 7!

Great card love your mummy! Your question is a hard one to answer, I've had so many costumes over the years. I've only had homemade ones and I LOVED my caterpillar costume with all the legs attached, I guess that was my favorite! Thanks for the chance to win great blog candy!

ReplyDeleteAs for a costume, I've never been to a fancy dress party! I feel deprived!

ReplyDeleteGreat treat box you made!

Marianne

Cute project and a great start to the blog hop
ReplyDeleteGreat projects. Fav costume was Huckleberry Hound when I was about 4. Still have few photo of it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative project! Really cool design!
ReplyDeleteFabulous creations Cat :d My fav costume was a witch, but not the "Hollywood pointy hat" style. I aged myself with make-up, got an old branch for a walking stick, and bent my back all evening(at a school party) non of the children recognised me at all, and dancing the Time Warp was a scream :D XXX
ReplyDeleteLove what you have made, very unique and spooky lol. My favourite costume was a NUN outfit. My hubby went as a Priest. I really got into the whole thing, definitely maybe what I should have been lol. Off to do more hoping.
ReplyDeletePinky
Great idea with the hat - not sure what to say about my favourite costume! Probably something I wore when I was much younger when I was dressed as a Christmas fairy!! Not something I would ever do now!!
ReplyDeleteHelen x

Cleopatra. No one knew who I was so it was fun to watch the confused faces.
ReplyDeleteLove the witches hat...so very creative! Ummm...I'd have to say a clown. I had a blast and in full costume (from the nose to the big, red floppy shoes), no one knew who I was.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a brilliant Halloween project and some great candy. I'm not one for dressing up but I must say the Grim Reaper costume my son wore this Halloween got lots of comments about how sacry he looked when we went Trick or Treating!!If I was going to a fancy dress I'd quite like to try a dalmation costume or something fun!! Must dash , loving this hop....
ReplyDeleteLove Jacky xx
I love that witches hat, and I love how the sketch inspired it, I would have been lost as an easter duck trying to do that sketch lol. We didnt have money for costumes when I was growing up so mostly mom just put some makeup on me and draped me in some of her pretty clothes, since I liked dressing up, and normally I wasnt allowed to wear makeup, I thought this was a treat, so guess thats my favorite.
ReplyDeletetotally fabby witches hat !
ReplyDeletemaddy
