Queen Kitty Thanks

This was the second card I made for my coworker to choose from. When she saw it her face totally lit up and she knew it was PURRFECT. Turns out she jokingly calls her associate Queenie for taking such good care of her. I knew my coworker was a cat lover and used that as my launching point. I had no idea the royal theme would also apply. I love making people happy!

Sketch Inspiration ~ Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #54
Oh my, I'm actually playing with the Madness Crew on time! I usually don't get my cards done until they are past the current challenge. I took advantage of their Monday sneak peek to try and get ahead of the game. I left off the upper corner accent as I though between the major bling and somewhat busy patterned paper, there were already enough elements on the card! LOL
S2G Challenge #56 ~ Home Sweet Home with Ribbon
My home is ‘owned’ by six cats, four of whom believe they are Queens of the castle and their 2 brothers the jesters. My husband and I are the servants who tend to their whims.
Saturday Challenge #83 ~ Metal (Do rhinestones count as metal? They have that ‘look’ anyway.) :o)
A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #104 ~ Cute & Girly
HFOS #28 ~ Get Your Shine On
Spicas, Shimmer Cardstock, Rhinestones PLUS Diamond Glaze - YOWZA
365 Cards Day 72 ~ It Needs Something: Create an object to fit in with the image
(I bejeweled her collar and made it into a Titanic-esqe heart pendant necklace.
365 Cards Day #76 ~ Criss Cross Applesauce (use a criss cross pattern)
Inky Impressions Challenge #35
Please check out the challenge link, as you can choose 2 inspiration 'letters'. F-L-O-W-E-R, each letter has a different inspiration. I picked R for RIBBON and S for SPARKLE
CCEE Stampers #1019 ~ Nursery Rhyme
WE were to use a nursery rhyme as inspiration. I chose The Cat and The Queen.
Pussy-cat, Pussy-cat where have you been? I've been to London to look at the Queen.
Pussy-cat, Pussy-cat, what did you there? I frightened a little mouse under her chair.
My card shows what happened after the visit. The cat was adopted by the Queen and given a throne of her own for a job well done.
My Creation
Image Detail
Can you see the subtle spica sparkle? I colored her eyes with a gold spica and then added Diamond Glaze for even more shine. A few gems give her a true royal feel.
I had a few pre-formed letters, but had to get crafty with my craft blade to create a few.
Inside
I had this verse in my stash. I believe it came as a freebie from a craft solicitation mailing.
