Butterfly Birthday

In between sympathy cards, I pulled together a quick birthday card. A few weeks ago I attended a Card Candy Class with Stampin Up. The demonstrator planned 20 ‘snippets’ for us to make that could easily be incorporated into a card or scrapbook. It was so much fun. All three of my postings today, use bits of this ‘candy’. I love having the bulk of a card ready, yet being able to put my own spin on things with the remaining elements. The down side is I don’t have a list of supplies (unless I happen to know the name of the stamp set).

My Creation

 Inspiration
It’s hard to see in the photo, but the card base (from DCWV) is totally glittered. It’s very sparkly in person and makes me smile. I made it for my 19 year old niece. She’s about to finish her first year of general college classes and will be moving to another college further away next fall. She is such a sweetheart and brings so much love and ‘sparkle’ to my life.

INS AND OUTS ~ BUTTERFLY BIRTHDAY
All supplies except the card base are from Stampin Up. The base is DCWV cardstock. I used my Martha Stewart Monarch and small Fiskars Butterfly punches as well.
