Green Graduation

I really didn’t have much of a plan for this card but really like how it turned out. I’ve had a box of embossed cards from DCWV for awhile and wasn’t sure how to use them because they are…well…so WHITE! I wanted a masculine graduation card and thought the 365 Cards sketch would be a good way to try out the embossed cards. I dragged my Memento Bamboo Leaves ink pad over the card ‘highlighting’ the embossed areas. The other pieces just fell in place. The dragging technique gives the card a kind of rough and grungy feel. Please see the Ins and Outs for links to the challenges and play along!

My Card Detail
I colored the cap with my olive Spica and then covered it in diamond glaze.
More Detail
My chipboard numbers weren’t quite the right color of green. I just inked them up with the same ink pad. Oops, now that I see a close-up, I realize I need to file/snip a few more 'chippy tags'.
Inside of Card I opted for a sticker sentiment instead of a stamp. I wanted bolder lettering than the stamps I had so I could place it over the designer paper.
