Rainbow Chicken for 2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Showdown

It’s the first annual 2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Showdown and I thought I’d give it a whirl. They provided a great sketch and left the rest open to our imaginations. Check it out and join in the fun - it's going to last all month long.

The Sketch

Most people have heart of Rainbow Fish (a character from a children’s book), but how about Rainbow Chicken? Well, here she is! I had so much fun making my girl literally pop off the page by cutting out key elements from the image and adhering them with pop up dots. I used a white gel pen to add some ‘movement’ lines. It also gives her almost a cartooney appearance. I love the bright colors and hope you do too!
